The Event:
The Google AIY Voice Kit provides the developer with hardware and
software to develop an intelligent speaker with voice recognition
using Google Assistant.
This Raspberry Pi 3/AIY Google Voice Kit Class will teach the initial setup
and configuration of the AIY Voice Kit with a Raspberry Pi 3B/3B+
About this Event:
Raspberry Pi 3/AIY Google Voice Kit Class. This class will cover setting up
the Raspberry Pi 3/3B+ and assembling the AIY Google Voice Kit. Initial setup
and configuration of the RPi 3/3B+, connecting to our WiFi, getting your
Google API key and configuring the Voice Kit.

Tanner Electronics has a basic RPi3B+ kit available for ~$75
RPi3B+ is $40
Case is $10
PS is $10
16GB microSD is $14

A monitor will be needed to initially setup the device.  Once an
IP address is available, VNC can be used to interact with the Pi.
I will have some Raspberry Pis available for the class, as well
as a few Google AIY Voice Kits.
The voice kits are available for purchase $5.00
Special Considerations and Warnings
You will need the following hardware:
* AIY Google Voice Kit ($4.99 Micro Center)
* Raspberry Pi 3B or 3B+
* 8 or 16GB (or larger) microSD card (class 10)
* Raspberry Pi Power Supply
* USB Keyboard
* USB Mouse
* Monitor with power cord
* HDMI cable to connect Raspberry Pi to Monitor

There will be a few standard monitors/keyboards/mice available,
but bring your own if you can.
